leadership coaching and career coaching for
Women
Continuous change is one of the few certainties today. One development is rapidly overtaken by the next. This requires continuous shifting and adapting, in all the different roles you fulfil.
In the professional environment women often experience a challenge in developing themselves in an authentic way, which suits their competences and values. Many professional environments have an atmosphere, where there is (unconsciously) more appreciation for masculine traits and qualities. Fortunately, the tide is changing in our society, with more attention and appreciation for the development of feminine leaderships skills. But this transition will not occur without effort.
It is great when you are able to trust in yourself and make clear choices. Or that you gain insight in how you can relate to and deal with the unwritten rules in your workplace. I help you taking a pause, to reflect on this. To create the opportunity to explore and realise what is important to you, what route you would like to pursue and what you need to gain self-confidence. As a result, you will notice that you gain more energy from your work.
Together we explore answers to questions such as:
Enhancing my impact: How can I fulfil my job with more seniority and conviction, while remaining true to myself?
I work long hours and am reaching my limits. How can I work more effectively?
I struggle with determining in which direction I want to grow. I am looking for a job that fulfils and energizes me
I am stuck at work. Is this job a good match for me or should I look for something else?
I sometimes take things too personal. How can I effectively communicate with colleagues and clients?
How do I combine all the different roles I have in life?
How do I deal with other people’s expectations and/or my own expectations?
Typical questions and challenging themes in which you may be engaged and that are difficult to solve by yourself. Where you could use an objective, experienced sparring partner.
Do you recognise one of the above examples or do you have a personal or professional development question? Please get in touch for a consultation to see what I can do for you - free of charge and free of any obligation.

Who IS MAAIKE TACONIS?
About me
My background is both international and diverse. After graduating in Chemistry (an MSc in Drug Innovation), I have worked in different sectors: from business analyst in a large international chemical company to a manager at a (big four) management consultancy firm (healthcare consulting). I have worked in the U.S.A., Australia, Germany, Belgium and Great Britain. Currently, I live in and work from Delft, the Netherlands.
a passion for development
After a 10-year career in the business, I decided to embark on a Master in Coaching, at Oxford Brookes University. I was captivated by the profession of coaching, a profession that demands continuous awareness and (re)learning. That is how ‘development’ became like a thread through my life. As a mom, a daughter, a coach, and as an entrepreneur. I enjoy this every day, although it does not mean it comes easily.
Coaching from experience
In my coaching I combine my international business experience (in biotech and management consultancy), my technical and scientific background (an MSc in Chemistry and an MA Coaching in Oxford) with my personal experience (working mom of three children).
I use this experience to facilitate you in your personal development and to help you make the right career choices. In a clarifying, connecting, and stimulating way, with a sense of humour.
Would you like to know more about my professional background or my education? Please have a look at my LinkedIn Profile.
I am a PCC certified senior coach with the ICF, recognised as career coach professional with the Noloc and a member of EMCC and Nobco, which are (inter)national associations for professional coaches.
